The  record label Passacaille has recently released the first monographic recording in modern times of the Sonate per clavicembalo con l’accompagnamento di violino op. 2 written by the composer Ignazio Cirri from Forlì (1711 1787). This sonatas- written by a contrapuntist usually devoted to sacred music for organ and voices- represent a delightful  and rare collection of Salon music, that connects the late italian Baroque to the nascent european Classic Era.

Violin Luca Giardini

Harpsichord Filippo Pantieri
