ANNA RENZI: THE FIRST DIVA

SA Anna Renzi

The soprano Anna Renzi was born in Rome in 1620 and made her debut very young. Favourite singer, among the others, of Claudio Monteverdi, who expressly wrote for her the role of Ottavia in L’incoronazione di Poppea, she bacame famous in Venice, at the Teatro Teatro Santi Giovanni e Paolo and was often acommpanied by the young Maestro from Forlì Filiberto Laurenzi. In Innsbruck she sang in the opera “Argia”of Antonio Cesti. Anna Renzi is considered one of the first diva of the rising italian Opera.

The concert proposes the most significant and famous arias interpreted by the great Anna Renzi. Roberta Invernizzi will take us in this wonderful journey!
